Avaco vacuum therapy device

Avaco , working independently, functions as a vacuum therapy device . Vacuum therapy is an excellent complement to electrotherapy. In combination with an electrostimulator, it is used to apply currents through suction cups with built-in electrodes. Vacuum attachment of electrodes makes it much easier to perform electrotherapy treatments, especially in places where it is difficult to use flat electrodes. Self-sealing nozzles significantly increase the comfort of use, especially in the case of single-circuit operation. The option to choose different sizes of suction cups optimizes therapy, offering the possibility of precise adjustment to the type of current and place of application. Moreover, in the pulsation mode there is a mechanical massage effect, which has the advantage of increasing blood circulation and metabolism. A unique feature is the operation mode synchronized with the generated current. The vacuum is increased during the stimulation phase and decreased during rest. This mode is intended for use with training programs.

How does vacuum therapy work?

Vacuum therapy is a method that uses negative pressure generated inside the device. Negative pressure itself is a source of beneficial effects on the human body. The blood supply to the tissues improves at the site of application. This happens because the blood vessels widen and their permeability increases. Improving circulation results in the delivery of more nutrients and oxygen.

What size of suction cups should I choose?

The size of the suction cups may be quite important when performing a procedure using negative pressure therapy. Smaller suction cups are quite universal and work best in more moving places. However, larger suction cups will work better in places that don't move much, such as the back.

Indications for negative pressure therapy

  • Improving peripheral arterial circulation
  • Treatment of venous and lymphatic stasis caused by various causes
  • Treatment of shrinking scars and wounds
  • Improving tissue elasticity and increasing vascularity
  • Decreased muscle tension, spine pain, myalgia of rheumatoid origin
  • Cellulitis, loose skin and excess fat tissue
  • Weight loss support

Contraindications to negative pressure therapy

  • Acute and progressive inflammation
  • Bleeding tendency
  • Active cancer
  • Taking anticoagulants
  • Fever
  • Hypertension
  • Menstruation (if electrons are placed on the lumbar or abdomen)
  • Pregnancy (if electrodes are placed on the lumbar spine)
  • Dilatation of veins or diseases accompanied by rupture of vessels
  • Varicose veins
  • Phlebitis
  • Thrombosis, thrombophlebitis
  • Diabetes in which peripheral neuropathy has been detected
  • Pacemaker (if procedures are performed on the thoracic spine)

Limitations to negative pressure therapy

  • Fresh injury
  • Painful varicose veins
  • Ventral hernia
  • Hemangiomas, spider veins
  • Skin diseases

In vacuum therapy combined with electrotherapy, the patient's sensitivity to electric current decreases thanks to the operation of the suction cups, therefore this technique is particularly recommended in cases where electrostimulation procedures must be performed on patients with particular sensitivity to electric current.
